Department: PET Imaging Centre Facility based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team running a high-quality PET/CT and PET/MR service at the King’s College London (KCL) and Guys and St Thomas’ PET Centre based at St Thomas’ Hospital and at the Guy’s Cancer Centre. The appointee should be fully trained and have extensive experience in clinical PET imaging with relevant nuclear medicine and / or radiology training and have experience and commitment to academic activities including research and teaching.   

Clinical duties will be shared with the other clinical members of the team and include reporting and MDM attendance. In addition to clinical duties, the appointee will assist with teaching of visiting postgraduate doctors, staff groups within the PET Centre and contribute to teaching in the School, including the MSc in Nuclear Medicine. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to research and medical audit within the department and encouraged to develop their own research interests. The appointee will interact with the clinical team, other key PET Centre staff and academic colleagues in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences. The appointee will maintain continuous professional development and revalidation as required by the employer and the General Medical Council for registration. The appointee with have inductions from both GSTT and KCL. They will also have a local induction into the department and will have a named academic mentor during the probation period.  

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract  

This is a full-time post (40 hours per week)
